Recalling how “their mouths fell open”, Harry wrote how he told William and Kate, “She’s an actress. ‘Oh?’ She’s American. ‘Oh.’ On a show called Suits.”
William then reportedly turned to his younger brother and chimed, “‘[Explicit] off?'”
Sharing that his brother was “baffled” by the confession, Harry referred to William and Kate as “regular-nay, religious-viewers” of Meghan’s legal drama, Suits.
Meghan, who starred as paralegal Rachel Zane, appeared on the show for seven seasons. Harry recalled his surprise, writing: “All this time I’d thought Willy and Kate might not welcome Meg into the family, but now I had to worry about them hounding her for an autograph.”
Harry later proposed to Meghan after just over a year of dating, with the pair tying the knot in Windsor in May 2018.
The pair later welcomed their son Prince Archie, now aged six, before moving to the US after stepping down as senior working royals.
Meghan and Harry later welcomed their daughter, Princess Lilibet, in June 2021.
