The Honours themselves were carried in ceremony from the Castle to waiting Rolls Royce cars and driven along the Royal Mile once the People’s Procession was complete.
The King and Queen later made their way to the Cathedral from the Palace of Holyroodhouse Palace. Both were in the mantles of the Order of the Thistle, the highest Order in Scotland.
