Prince Harry was “asking for trouble” when he took an apparent swipe at Prince William over his relationship with Kate, the Princess of Wales, according to a royal author.

Robert Hardman claimed the Duke of Sussex struck a nerve when he suggested royal men face “a temptation or urge to marry someone who fits the mould” rather than someone they love.

Hardman, the author of new bombshell royal book The Making of a King: King Charles III and the Modern Monarchy, claimed the comments Harry made in the documentary were “the lowest of the low” to the Prince of Wales.

He expanded on his comments in an interview with US Weekly, saying: “Clearly it bit deep, both the remarks in the Netflix six-parter with Harry and Meghan [Markle], but also in Harry’s book, Spare.

“Casting any sort of doubt, I think, on your brother’s choice of wife is clearly asking for trouble.”
