Prince George has been praised by royal fans today after a portrait drawn by the second-in-line to the throne was released on social media, with many commenting on how talented the young royal is.

On Monday, Kensington Palace posted pictures drawn by Prince Louis, six, Princess Charlotte, nine, Prince George, 11, and their mum Princess Kate, 42, to highlight how the artistic activity can bring children and their parents together as part of Kate’s Early Years Shaping US project.

The caption with the portraits read: “The Early Childhood Shaping Us Framework describes the social and emotional skills which start to develop in early childhood. These skills are key throughout our lives, shaping who we are, how we manage our thoughts and emotions, how we communicate with and relate to others, and how we explore the world around us.

“Drawing portraits with children can provide a moment of connection as you spend time looking at and focusing on one another, as well as being creative and – most importantly – having lots of fun together!”

While many were quick to praise the family and the sweet activity, a large number of comments on social media were all about Prince George, with many believing his portrait, believed to be of the Princess of Wales sat on an armchair, showed real talent.

People were also quick to notice how the young prince’s artistic skills are a sign of just how much he takes after his mother Princess Kate and grandfather King Charles, who are both known to have artistic skills.

One fan wrote on X: “Prince George looks like he’s inherited his artistic talent from his mama and his grandpa.”

Another said: “He has a natural talent. Very impressive drawing for someone as young as he.”

A third commented on Instagram: “Prince George’s portrait of The Princess of Wales is incredible, he’s such a talented artist.”

Another fan wrote: “Prince George is shaping up to be a very talented artist just like his mum.”

As well as a number of fans praising the young prince, many were also delighted at the fact the family had taken part in such a sweet activity together.

One person wrote: “A simple activity, but very important for developing children’s skills. The portraits are beautiful.”
