King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit of Thailand hosted King Baudouin and Queen Fabiola of Belgium on their State Visit to Thailand on this day in 1964, which came following their State Visit to Japan. The Thai King and Queen had made a State Visit to Belgium in 1960.

King Baudouin and Queen Fabiola were welcomed by King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit of Thailand at the Airport in Bangkok, before the Procession though the city for an Official Welcome Ceremony at the start of the seven-day State Visit.

In the evening, King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit hosted a spectacular State Banquet in honour of King Baudouin (in the Order of the Royal House of Chakri) and Queen Frederica (wearing her Spanish Wedding Gift Tiara, the Wolfers Necklace) at the Grand Palace in Bangkok, which included Speeches by both Kings.

Queen Sirikit (wearing her Thai Tiara and Diamond Necklace) and Queen Frederica (wearing her Spanish Wedding Gift Tiara, the Wolfers Necklace) were also pictured attending another Banquet in Bangkok.
