Lidia Thorpe is an Australian federal senator who has a history of activism and protest for progressive causes and Indigenous rights. As the King finished his speech, Thorpe approached the stage yelling: ‘This is not your country … You destroyed our land. Give us a treaty. We want a treaty in this country.
