One person who will be there to take part in this historic occasion at Westminster Abbey is Lady Elish Angiolini.

Who is Lady Elish Angiolini?
Born in Glasgow on June 24, 1960, Lady Elish Angiolini is a Scottish lawyer.
She has enjoyed an incredible career, which included being Lord Advocate of Scotland from 2006 until 2011, having previously been Solicitor General since 2001.
Lady Angiolini was the first woman, the first Procurator Fiscal, and the first solicitor to hold either post.
Since September 2012, she has been the Principal of St Hugh’s College, Oxford.
Lady Angiolini has also led several investigations and inquiries, including a review of deaths in police custody.
What role does Lady Angiolini play at the coronation?
Lady Angiolini is taking part in the Participating in the act of Recognition of His Majesty at the coronation.
This is where King Charles will be presented to the congregation at the start of the Service.
She will be joined by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Baroness Valerie Amos, and Christopher Finney GC, Chair of the Victoria Cross and George Cross Association.
Like the others, Lady Angiolini has been chosen to take part in the coronation to say thank you for her service to the nation, and the work she does.
Is Lady Angiolini married and does she have children?
Lady Angiolini is married to Domenico Angiolini, who is of Scottish-Italian descent.
They pair have been wed since 1985, and live in Oxford together.
They couple have two children, sons Domenico and David.
Is Lady Angiolini related to King Charles?
Lady Angiolini is not related to King Charles or any other member of the Royal Family.
She is the only non-Royal woman to be appointed to the Order.
In the 2011 Birthday Honours, she was made Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) for services to the administration of justice.
On June 10, 2022, she was appointed a Lady of the Order of the Thistle (LT), and thereby granted the title Lady
