The reason why Prince Edward ‘won’t fight Prince Andrew’ to lead royals in King’s absence | Royal | News

The Duke of York was seen grinning on his way to church, which sparked backlash over his appearance.

According to royal experts, Andrew could have seized the opportunity in the hope of a future ‘comeback’.

Meanwhile, Edward, who celebrated his 60th birthday on Sunday, was tipped to take on more responsibilities as the monarch bravely undergoes treatment for his cancer.

Now royal expert Angela Levin claimed the Edinburghs will not need to “fight” Andrew because everybody likes them.

She told the Sun: “I don’t think that Edward and Sophie need to fight, because they’re very welcome and everybody likes them.

“They do their jobs quietly. They haven’t wanted to be in the middle of attention, so I don’t think they want to fight Andrew.”

The royal biographer added: “Edward has been going around the world doing a lot of things that he likes, which is with acting and seeing performances and helping people.

I don’t think that there’s anything nasty going on, in that they don’t mind King Charles being out of the way while they do things.

“I think they’d be very supportive of him, and they’ve been very supportive of the late Queen, and I don’t think that they’re a nasty couple by any means. I think they’re not jealous people.”
