Royal Family LIVE: Meghan Markle ‘shelves plans to relaunch Instagram’ after major setback | Royal | News

Princess Kate once revealed how she deals with negative comments that come her way.

The Princess of Wales, 42, has been at the centre of controversy this week over an image released by Kensington Palace on Mother’s Day.

But the princess has previously opened up about dealing with criticism.

Back in 2011 Prince William and Princess Kate were interviewed by ITV’s Tom Bradby after they announced their engagement.

Mr Brady asked the royal: “You have said your family are very close, does it hurt about what’s said or do you let it run off all your collective backs on the grounds that’s just what you have go to live with?”

Kate replied: “Again I think, the people around home are very supportive to us and those are the people who really matter to us, our close friends and close family.

“I think if they feel you are doing the right thing you can only be true to yourself and you sort of have to ignore a lot of what’s said, obviously take it on board, but you have to be yourself really and that’s how I have stuck by it really.”
