It’s that time of year again! The British Royal Family attended the first day of races at the Ascot Racecourse on June 17th. Royal Ascot is a permanent fixture on the British Royal Family’s June calendar and the late Queen attended all five days of the horse-racing event for over 70 years. This year, Royal Ascot follows Order of the Garter Service and Trooping the Colour.
A Royal Procession of four carriages traveled from Windsor Castle to the Ascot Racecourse in horse-drawn landaus, before the Royal Family and their guests spent the day in the Royal Enclosure.
King Charles III and Queen Camilla (wearing Cullinan V Diamond Brooch) were joined by Prince Faisal bin Salman Al Saud and Lady Sarah Keswick in the First Carriage.
In the Second Carriage, the Princess Royal (wearing the Queen’s Three-Strand Pearl Necklace) was joined by the Queen’s sister, Annabel Elliot as well as the Duke of Wellington and Princess Antonia, Duchess of Wellington.
Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling were joined by Mr and Mrs. Anthony Horowitz in the Third Carriage.
Lady Joanna and Henry Morton Jack sat with Lord and Lady Vestey in the Fourth Carriage.
The Duchess of Edinburgh, Zara and Mike Tindall, Princess Beatrice and Count Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Laura Lopes were also present.
