Today marks the 20th Anniversary of the Wedding of Prince Ali bin Al Hussein of Jordan and Princess Rym Ali, who got married on this day in 2004! Princess Rym Ali celebrates her 55th Birthday this year but since the date is not publicly known, we are using the opportunity to feature her Diamond Tiara!

Prince Ali bin Hussein of Jordan, son of King Hussein and Queen Alia of Jordan and a brother of King Abdullah II, married Rym Brahimi, a former CNN journalist and daughter of the Algerian diplomat Lakhdar Brahimi, at the al-Baraka Palace in Amman on this day in 2004, the third Royal Wedding in Jordan that year, after the marriages of his sister, Princess Haya, and brother, Crown Prince Hamzah. Prince Ali and Princess Rym al-Ali have two children, and unlike the other two weddings, they continue to remain happily married.

A striking Tiara composed of ornate diamond scrolls set in gold, the origin of this piece is unknown but it may have belonged to the late Queen Alia or have been loaned.

The Diamond Tiara first appeared on Princess Rym Ali in 2006, worn for King Carl XVI Gustaf’s 60th Birthday Banquet.

Four years later, Princess Rym Ali wore the Diamond and Gold Tiara for the Wedding of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden in 2010.

More recently, Princess Rym Ali has worn a Pearl and Diamond Tiara for the Wedding Banquet of Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan, which was confirmed to originate from the late Queen Alia.
