THE Princess of Wales opened a residential community today and we got a glimpse of a rarely-seen detail about the royal – her handwriting.
The royal mum-of-three left a poignant handwritten note behind at Southampton’s Hope Street, which featured her very stylish penmanship.

The sweet note read: “I see you and I am with you.
“Good luck in all that lies ahead, Catherine.”
According to handwriting analyst Tracey Trussell, Kate’s handwriting style reveals a lot about her personality.
Speaking exclusively to Fabulous, Tracey shared how it showed “regal” Kate is “composed in public” but also “passionate”.
Tracey explained: “This small and seemingly innocuous sample is packed with insight into Catherine’s character.
“Catherine’s public image is cool, beautifully composed, regal and dignified.
“However, the real woman is far from chilled or nonchalant under wraps.
“She is dynamic, hardworking, passionate and caring. She’s ready to roll up her sleeves, knuckle down and make a difference in the world.
“What’s more, we can count on her to deliver.
“The tall, controlled strokes and well-developed loops reveal her commitment to high standards and principles, and competence in achieving goals.
“This symbolism tells that she is a perfectionist and reformer – motivated by a need to live her life the right way, not only by improving herself, but also by selflessly dedicating herself to reforming the world around her.”
Tracey said Kate’s handwriting reveals how she is “comfortable she is with people getting close.”
She added: “The writing is predominantly joined up and falls strongly forwards. This means that Catherine is super keen to help and give of herself, and she’s eager to champion people who may need her help and collaboration.”
The handwriting expert said there is also evidence that Kate “quietly seeks approval for everything she does.”
She explained: “We also know that Catherine is sensitive and secretly takes things to heart, because there are loops in her tall t’s and d’s. This means she quietly seeks approval for everything she does (which is considerable).”
The large size of the handwriting and “extended t-bar in her name” shows Kate’s “ability to take charge.”
For the visit, Kate stunned in a recycled £1,335 navy Alessandra Rich midi dress.

Hope Street has been designed and developed by the charity One Small Thing and is the first of its kind in the UK.
Founded by Kate’s friend Lady Edwina Grosvenor, the centre pilots a new approach to supporting women in the justice system.
Instead of families going through the trauma of being separated, the centre allows women to remain with their kids in a safe community environment.
On site are private spaces, a 24-hour hub, play areas and an onsite creche.
The redeveloped centre will house five women who are thought to be “low-risk” after committing a non-violent offence.
During the visit, the Princess of Wales met with women who have lived the experience of the system.
The programme aims to demonstrate how a compassionate and supportive approach to women in the justice system can have positive outcomes for society.
It is hoped that Hope Street will provide a blueprint which can be scaled across the country.
