The fractured relationship between Prince Harry and the Royal Family remains unhealed with communication between the two continuing to be scrutinised.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from the Firm three years ago, choosing to relocate to the US. The couple has only returned to the UK and reunited with the Royal Family on a handful of occasions.

Harry is reportedly still not on speaking terms with his older brother Prince William, with remarks in Harry’s memoir Spare, published in January this year, damaging their relationship further.

Royal biographer Omid Scobie told People that Harry hoped his memoir would help communication with his family, but “there is no going back” for the brothers.

He said: “I saw Harry’s release of Spare as his last attempt at telling his family how he’s felt for years. Because clearly there’s never been an open enough forum to have these conversations or share these feelings.”

Mr Scobie’s latest book Endgame is due to be published on November 28 and will share further details about the feud between William and Harry.

Yet royal author Clive Irving claimed earlier this month that all hope of reconciliation is not lost for the brothers.

The Daily Beat columnist explained: “I think that there’s a relationship of sorts still existing and that will probably mature as they both themselves mature.”

He said that there is no need for “reconciliation” or a “stand up fight” between the brothers

He added: “They can just accept the realities of the moment and hope that these will improve.”

Harry and Meghan are said to have called King Charles on his 75th birthday earlier this week, including a video of four-year-old Prince Archie and two-year-old Princess Lilibet singing to their grandfather.

Some royal watchers have viewed the interaction as an olive branch in the rift, but Daily Mail Diary editor Richard Eden claimed the call was a “desperate” attempt to get back into the royal fold and for future financial benefits.
