Princess Charlotte hailed as a “certified Swiftie” sparking fan frenzy | Royal | News

Fans have branded Princess Charlotte the “ultimate Swiftie” following her beaming selfie with Taylor Swift at the Eras tour in London, which has sent the internet into meltdown.

On June 21, Taylor Swift and Kensington Palace posted respective photos of Princess Charlotte, her older brother Prince George, and dad, Prince William backstage at her concert at Wembley Stadium.

The singer is wearing her signature red lip, and a sparkly black dress alongside Charlotte who stands right beside her in a sparkly golden top and braided hair.

Both Charlotte and George have bright wide smiles on their faces, and fans are captivated.

Commenting on the sweet image, Taylor fan, @chadasianwife, said: “Just imagining that Catherine braided Lottie’s hair and styled her sequence ensemble. That is how you dress in a Taylor Swift concert — in a gold sparkly outfit! Princess Charlotte was beaming in this photo, a core memory for her as a Swiftie.”

Fan @duchess_salty wrote: “I just can’t get enough of this delightful image of #PrincessCharlotte fangirling #TaylorSwift. Imagine how excited Charlotte was when she went back home to tell her Mamma.”

Another wrote: “Princess Charlotte was clearly ecstatic to be meeting Taylor yesterday, and I don’t blame her one bit.”

A Taylor fan added: “Princess Charlotte being a big swiftie fan she even got the dress code I’m not cryingggggg.”

While the Prince and Princess of Wales often share photos of their children, they are usually posed photographs taken to mark birthdays or for their annual Christmas card. This one, however, was spontaneous and offered fans a more low-key look at the famous family.

Kensington Palace also posted the caption: “Thank you @taylorswift for a great evening!”

Dad, Prince William, 42, also couldn’t stop grooving to Taylor’s music during the concert and was filmed dancing to the song ‘Shake it Off’ during the first night of her Eras tour in London, as seen in fan-captured footage.

In the clip, William is seen letting loose in the stands and dancing along to Swift’s tune from her 1989 album. Dressed in a buttoned-down shirt and blazer, he is seen swaying his arms and getting into the music from a box.

They were not the only royals in attendance as Zara and Mike Tindall were also present at the gig. Dressed casually for an evening of entertainment, Mike, 45, opted for a baby pink and white shirt and shorts and wore a blue and white baseball cap. Whereas Zara, 43, chose a bright golden sequinned jacket, plain white top, and comfortable denim shorts.

Fans of Mike and Zara also reacted to their snaps which were posted online. One fan exclaimed: “Just when I thought I couldn’t love this couple anymore..”
