Prince Harry savaged by royal expert’s dig he is a ‘spare’ in his own marriage | Royal | News

Prince Harry has been dubbed “a spare” in his own marriage, following the release of his memoir of the same name, and after his three-day trip to Nigeria alongside his wife, Meghan Markle.

Speaking to GB News, royal biographer and expert, Angela Levin, detailed the Sussexes marriage six years on and claimed Harry is “squashed to pieces” in his relationship with the duchess.

Angela told host Mark Dolan: “I think when he wrote his book about the spare, he didn’t think that maybe he would be a spare now.”

She added: “Meghan pushes him, pulls him if she wants to go on, if she’s bored somewhere, as we saw in footage from Africa.”

Harry, 39, and his wife Meghan, 42, arrived in Africa’s most populous nation two weeks ago in a trip linked to the Invictus Games, an international sporting event that the Duke of Sussex started a decade ago for troops injured in action.

Harry spoke in the country of the tragic loss of the “brave souls” in the country’s military who had lost their lives in conflicts and said he felt “goosebumps” after seeing plans for a new centre to rehabilitate injured troops.

Despite Harry having founded the Invictus Games, it was Meghan who took centre stage as she often commented on her DNA test results proving she was “43-percent Nigerian” to the African crowds.

Meghan acknowledged Nigeria as “my country” as she described the “humbling” experience of learning more about her roots after the surprising DNA test results she received a few years back.

She said: “Never in a million years would I understand it as much as I do now. And what has been echoed so much in the past day is, ’Oh, we are not so surprised when we found out you are Nigerian’.”

Speaking about the Duke and Duchess’s passion for the Invictus Games, Angela also claimed that there are fears Meghan has “taken over” the games.

She also told GB News: “That was Harry’s, that was his star. That’s what he’d done very well. And Meghan’s taking it over. She gives the speeches and she stands in front of former and army people who are walking, and she walks on and she gives them the marching orders.”

However, Angela also admitted that Meghan is a “powerful woman” and she “has to win” at whatever she does.

After the trip, the Duke of Sussex told the American outlet, PEOPLE, he was excited about being on the ground again, hinting at possible new trips on the cards for him and Meghan.

Harry said: “It is hugely important for us to meet directly with people, supporting our causes and listening, in order to bring about solutions, support and positive change.”
