Prince Harry has ‘burnt bridges’ with US residency bombshell – but still ‘hope’ | Royal | News

Prince Harry has “burnt his bridges” after confirming that he became a US resident, claims a royal photographer.

The father-of-two and husband of Meghan Markle has changed his primary residence to his Southern California mansion in the United States.

It was revealed that a travel company, Travalyst Ltd, which is at least 75% owned by Harry, had filed paperwork this week informing British authorities that he is now a “new country/state usually resident” in the US.

Sun photographer Arthur Edwards called Harry’s decicion “inevitable” and a “sad occasion,” especially when the Duke of Sussex has been through a year-longs feud with his royal sibling Prince William.

“They’ve left a wake of nasty stories about the Royal Family, if he only realised he was part of it for many years,” Edwards said.

“Him and William were so close, they did everything together, they supported each other through everything. That rift now doesn’t seem possible to be healed and that’s very sad.

It was reported that Harry’s decision to change his official status to a US resident and change his primary residence, which he and Meghan have lived for four years, happened the same day they were evicted from their former UK residence, Frogmore Cottage.

The date of change listed was on June 29, 2023.

“Frogmore was a very small part of it, probably an excuse when he left the UK to make his home in North America,” Edwards said.

“By signing this document saying he’s now a resident of the U.S, he’s probably burnt his bridges but I live in hope.”
