Prince Andrew ‘faces losing access to ANOTHER beloved home after refusing to leave Windsor mansion in row with Charles’

PRINCE Andrew reportedly faces losing access to another beloved home – after refusing to leave his Windsor mansion in a row with King Charles.

The Balmoral estate in Aberdeenshire, Scotland will be open to the public every day until August 16 – two weeks longer than normal.

It coincides with the time each summer when Andrew is understood to stay at the estate for a holiday with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson and their daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

A source told the Mail: “This will bring significant new revenue into the estate.

“It may, however, have the effect of annoying the Duke of York, who has treasured his time in Royal Deeside ever since he was a little boy.”

Andrew could visit Balmoral later this summer – but only if King Charles, who owns it privately, invites him.

There are several other properties in Scotland where Andrew could stay for a holiday with his family.

Buckingham Palace has been contacted for comment.

Andrew is also allegedly refusing to leave his Royal Lodge home during renovations – in case he “never gets back in”.

The royal, who no longer has official duties, shares the sprawling 30-room mansion in Windsor with just his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.

King Charles is said to be keen for Andrew, who was given Royal Lodge on a long-term lease by the Queen Mother, to leave the £30million home as part of plans to scale down the monarchy.

But Andrew has forked out £7million of his own money for roof repairs this summer – and is allegedly refusing to move out for them.

Andrew could make way for builders by temporarily moving in to Frogmore Cottage, Prince Harry and Meghan’s former home in Windsor.

King Charles is reportedly keen for Andrew to make a permanent move to Frogmore Cottage – with the duke reportedly suspecting that if he leaves Royal Lodge during repairs, he may never return.

But the Sussexes are still understood to hold the tenancy of Frogmore, which expires in July.

They have been given notice to quit the five-bed home, which the late Queen gave to them.

Princess Eugenie, who gave birth to her second son last week, currently lives in Frogmore Cottage with her husband and children.

Royal Lodge’s next inhabitants could be Prince William and Princess Kate, who currently live in four-bed Adelaide Cottage.

But the Crown Estate could reportedly rent out the home as a holiday letting.

Another source denied the reports, insisting there was no need for Andrew to move out of the seven-bed home.
