Prince Harry’s memoir Spare caused chaos for the Royal Family when it was released at the start of 2023, now Meghan Markle is said to be considering publishing her own book.
The Duchess of Sussex reportedly wants to “set the record straight” in a book which will reveal all about her time with the Firm.
Royal expert Christopher Anderson told Fox News: “Meghan must be chomping at the bit to, as they say, ‘set the record straight’.
“There is also that insatiable desire on the part of the Sussexes to be in the spotlight and at the same time get paid handsomely for it.”
However, back in September Meghan was warned not to publish a memoir as while it would sell well, it could further “widen” the rift with the Royal Family.
Richard Fitzwilliams told the Daily Express US: “This would have huge sales which would be almost guaranteed and ensure the rift remains or is widened, if that is possible.”
Harry’s book Spare levelled several accusations against the Firm, including a physical altercation with his brother Prince William, Princess Kate ‘making Meghan cry’ and King Charles being jealous of the attention his eldest son received.
Spare is thought to have further widened the rift between Harry and William, with no invitation to Christmas at Sandringham extended for the Sussexes this year.
One friend of William revealed he would view spending Christmas with Harry as a “total humiliation” after the accusations Harry made against him.
