Meghan Markle ‘should stay out of US politics’ amid Kamala’s presidency bid | Royal | News

Meghan Markle has been urged to “stay out of US politics” after claims that the 42-year-old is looking to “queue jump” into the political office.

The Duchess of Sussex, who stepped down as a senor working royal in 2020, reportedly “wants to be involved” in this year’s US election following rumours of a potential presidency bid.

Sources have emerged stating that Meghan is keen to publicly endorse Democrat Kamala Harris’s run for president, which could help launch her own political career.

Speaking to GB News, royal reporter Kinsey Schofield said: “Meghan wants to be included, this is potentially a very historic election.

“We really saw Meghan involved, including with Kamala Harris in some voter campaigns in 2020, and I think this is a great way for Meghan Markle to get her foot in the door.”

In a poll conducted by the Mirror, which saw around 3,641 take part, readers were asked whether they would like to see Meghan run for US President.

A staggering 89 percent of those who voted said they “would not” like to see the former royal branch out into the world of politics.

Voicing their thoughts in the comments, one user wrote: “Meghan just needs to stay out of politics completely. Why anyone would even give her any time running for office is beyond me.”

A second user commented: “I didn’t think the ideas of who should be President of USA could get any worse – Trump is bad enough, but Megan Markle… I dread to think what would happen to America.” A third penned: “Megan as president of the United States! What a joke. But you never know. Americans and their politics are very strange.”
