The Duchess of Sussex has shared a sweet and candid Valentine’s Day message on her Instagram account.

Meghan Markle posted a sweet black-and-white picture of herself and Prince Harry. The pair can be seen kissing as they dine at a restaurant.

The caption underneath the picture, posted after Meghan had returned home from Canada where she attende the Invictus Games, read: “Back home taking care of our babies, and missing my Valentine, as he continues on at the Invictus Games, changing lives and reminding all of us of the power of healing and resilience through these incredible veterans and their families.

“Beyond proud of my husband and what he’s created.”

She added: My love, I will eat burgers & fries and fish & chips with you forever. Thank you for you. #lovewins. As ever, M.”

Although Meghan joined Harry at the Invictus Games in Canada for the first few days, it was revealed that Meghan has decided to head home to California early.

The reason behind the 43-year-old’s decision to leave early remains unknown but it it speculated that Meghan wanted to return home to their two children.

Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, didn’t join their parents for the visit to Canada – however, according to Meghan, they were “cheering” Harry and the athletes on from California.

Prior to meeting her now-husband, Meghan spent Valentine’s Day alone in 2015. That year, taking to her now-defunct blog The Tig, Meghan shared some words of wisdom with her readers.

She wrote: “I think you need to be your own Valentine.

“I think you need to cook that beautiful dinner even when it’s just you, wear your favorite outfit, buy yourself some flowers, and celebrate the self love that often gets muddled when we focus on what we don’t have.”

With Harry remaining in Canada until the end of the Games on Sunday, Meghan will likely be spending the day with Archie and Lilibet.
