Marking Valentine’s Day today, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a sweet photograph to their social media accounts.

The couple, who have been married since 2011, have never previously shared a post in honour of the romantic holiday and have recently become more open about expressing their love for one another.

The loved-up picture is a still taken from the video they released to mark the end of Kate’s cancer treatment in September.

King Charles and Queen Camilla will be celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary in April. The couple have recently been deemed as the most compatible royal couple.

Who do you think are the most romantic royal couple? Vote in our poll here.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, body language expert Darren Stanton said: “They have had this deep love since they were both very young. We’re talking about a 50-year-plus romance. They’ve been in love a long time and it’s been an intense relationship where they’ve had to overcome a lot.”

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh tied the knot back in 1999 – with Prince Edward recently referring to his wife as his “best friend” during their visit to Nepal.

When asked during an interview about the secret behind their long and happy marriage, Edward sweetly said, “[It’s] because we’re best friends.” Asked if humour was important too, Sophie added: “Oh, there’s always got to be humour. Especially when you’re travelling and you’ve got no idea what’s about to happen. You’ve got to laugh.”

The Royal Family have also witnessed a host of other long-standing marriages such as Princess Anne and Sir Timothy Laurence – who tied the knot in 1992. Zara and Mike Tindall, who also wed in 2011, are known to share a deep connection. Mr Stanton also spoke of Zara and Mike recently, stating, “They really enjoy each other’s company, and there’s a strong level of trust between them.”

Although now living in California – and away from the constraints of royal life – Prince Harry and Meghan Markle put on a loved-up display in Canada this month.

The pair have been happily married since 2018 and now share two children, Archie, five, and Lilibet, three.

Two of the younger members of the Royal Family are also both happily married – Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

Beatrice, who recently welcomed her second daughter, married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in 2020.

Eugenie, who has two sons, married Jack Brooksbank in October 2018 – shortly after Harry and Meghan tied the knot at the same venue in Windsor.
