Despite the blistering heat in the UK, Lady Gabriella Kingston tried to keep cool by using a hand-held fan in her seat as she enjoyed the opening day of the prestigious tennis tournament. The 44-year-old appeared to be enjoying the day out with her close friend.
Lady Gabriella looked in good spirits as she sat next to Robert Denning, 41, a philanthropist and former entrepreneur. Lady Gabriella kept things simple in a classic white and blue shirt dress with a floral print, whereas Robert wore a white shirt and black tie, and styled his outfit with black and white sunglasses.
The pair were pictured laughing and joking, and in-between conversations, Lady Gabriella tried to keep cool by using the fan.
Lady Gabriella’s appearance followed her outing at Royal Ascot earlier this month, when she was pictured embracing members of the Royal Family, including Zara Tindall.
The royal is not the family representative at Wimbledon today, as Princess Beatrice made an appearance alongside her mum, Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York. The Princess of York also stunned in a long blue and white striped dress from Sandro Paris.
Fans who have spotted the royals on TV rushed to comment on social media. One wrote: “Princess Beatrice, Sarah, Duchess of York and Lady Gabriella – using a mini handheld electric fan as it’s hot in London today – are the royal representatives on the first day of Wimbledon!” Another commented: “Pretty dress!”
The daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent has been seen at public events more frequently this year, since the tragic death of her husband, Thomas Kingston.
An inquest in March 2024 found that Lady Gabriella Windsor’s husband, Thomas Kingston, had died from a “traumatic head wound” and a gun was found near his body in an outbuilding of his parents’ Cotswolds home.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene after a member of the family made a 999 call. Police said Mr Kingston’s death was not suspicious.
Following the tragic news last year, King Charles and Queen Camilla sent their “most heartfelt thoughts and prayers” to Lady Gabriella, who is known as Ella, and Mr Kingston’s parents and siblings.
The couple married at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, in 2019 with Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, the late Duke of Edinburgh, among the guests.
