Royal Guests and Relatives from around Scandinavia have joined the Swedish Royal Family to celebrate King Carl XVI Gustaf’s Golden Jubilee this week, with the festivities beginning with tonight’s Gala Performance of the Swedish Royal Opera at the Drottningholm Palace Theatre.
The Royal Opera’s Performance at the Drottningholm Palace Theatre featured the Royal Ballet and Royal Court Chapel alongside the Royal Opera’s choir and soloists, who performed in front of the Swedish Royal Family, the Nordic Royal Guests and Heads of State, the government and party chairmen as well as the governors and representatives of authorities, academia, business, royal academies, culture and media. Following the Gala Performance, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia will host a private Dinner inside Drottningholm Palace.
