Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan marries Rajwa Al-Saif in Amman – Royal Central

The Crown Prince of Jordan has married Rajwa Alsaif in a ceremony in Amman.

The bride is now Crown Princess Rajwa of Jordan.

The ceremony was attended by royalty from around the world including the Prince and Princess of Wales. Around 140 guests, including the King and Queen of the Netherlands, the King of the Belgians, the Crown Prince of Norway, the Crown Prince and Princess of Denmark and the Crown Princess of Sweden, were present for the ceremony.

The groom’s parents, King Abdhullah II and Queen Rania, watched as their younger son, Prince Hashem, walked the bride into the ceremony at the Zahran Palace in Amman.

The father of the bride, Khaled bin Musaed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al Saif, and King Abdullah acted as witnesses to the wedding and were already seated for the ceremony with the presiding Imam, Dr Ahmed Al Khalaileh.

The Muslim ceremony was short and involved the signing of the marriage contract and words by the Imam before several women performed the Zaghrata (ululation). This is a sound made to express happiness in Jordanian and Arab celebrations.

The new Crown Prince and Princess then greeted their guests before travelling in the Red Motorcade to greet wellwishers on their way to Al Husseiniya Palace.
