The Danish Royal Court released the schedule for the upcoming official visit from Norway, and Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary will play a central role in the events.

King Harald and Queen Sonja will visit Denmark from 15 to 16 June, with engagements in Copenhagen and Aarhus. Queen Margrethe will remain the official host, but the Crown Prince Couple will host many of the engagements.

The Danish Royal Court said that the visit will highlight the ties between the neighbouring countries; and that King Harald and Queen Sonja will lead a business delegation for Norwegian companies looking for collaborations with Danish companies on things like green solutions.

Queen Margrethe will meet King Harald and Queen Sonja at the Port of Copenhagen, where they’ll arrive on the royal yacht Norge on 15 June. From the port, the sovereigns will travel to Amalienborg, escorted by the Hussar Guard Regiment’s Horse Squadron.

Crown Prince Frederik will then join King Harald and Queen Sonja for a conference on Danish industry. Both the King and the Crown Prince will give speeches before attending sessions on green solutions and business cooperation.

In the evening, Queen Margrethe will host an official dinner at Amalienborg, and when it’s finished, King Harald and Queen Sonja, and Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary will board their respective yachts—the Norge and the Dannebrog—and sail to Aarhus ahead of Friday’s scheduled events.

On Friday, the Crown Prince Couple will welcome the Norwegian royals at the port in Aarhus before attending a conference entitled “Norway and Denmark – Stronger Together for a Green Future.”

The foursome will meet Norwegian students studying in Denmark at Havnepladsen before attending an official lunch at Aarhus City Hall. After lunch, the four royals will attend the LiteratureXchange on DOKK1.

Finally, King Harald and Queen Sonja will host a reception aboard the Norge before both royal ships depart Aarhus.
