Wimbledon ladies champion Barbora Krejčiková has gifted Princess Kate the racket she used to win in yesterday’s thrilling three-set match.
In a post on the official Prince and Princess of Wales X page, the team posted: “Great to be back at Wimbledon! There’s nothing quite like The Championships.”
Princess Charlotte, nine, can be seen holding the racket after joining her mother, Princess Kate, 42, and aunt, Pippa Middleton, 40, to watch today’s men’s singles final match.
On the Player’s Lawn earlier, Princess Kate and Princess Charlotte met two groups – one of female players and one of people on the ‘Work at Wimbledon’ programmme which supports young people from a range of backgrounds with roles at the Championships.
The Princess of Wales, who is patron of the All-England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, is expected to present the trophy to the winner of the coveted men’s final today.
