Lena Elizabeth Tindall is the second daughter of Zara and Mike Tindall.
Zara and Mike met during England’s Rugby World Cup-winning campaign in Australia in 2003, and later wed in July 2011.
According to the Royal Family website, Miss Lena Tindall is 23rd in line for the throne.
In November 2022, Gyles Brandreth’s biography, Elizabeth: An intimate Portrait, revealed the late Queen’s confused reaction to Lena’s name.
The pair opted for the shortened version of the name Elena and dedicated their daughter’s middle name to Queen Elizabeth – a tradition that has become popular within the Royal Family.

The late Queen was confused by the pronunciation of Lena when she was told it sounded like “lay-na.”
As reported by the Mail on Sunday, Zara explained to Her Majesty: “It’s short for Elena.”
To which the Queen responded: “What’s wrong with Elena? Elena’s a lovely name.”
“Her initial would then have been E.T,” Zara said.
“I’m afraid you’ve lost me there,” said the Queen.

He said: “Sunday got even better because a little baby boy arrived at my house! Yeah brilliant, six o’clock last night.
“We haven’t got a name yet, we’re still working on it, we always struggle with that, we’ve never picked one before they arrived.
“8lb 4oz, very bonny. Arrived very quickly, didn’t make it to hospital, on the bathroom floor!”
Describing the dramatic birth, Mike said he had to rush to his gym to grab a mat and place it on the floor in a case of “brace, brace, brace”.

When Lena’s mother Zara was born in 1981, her parents, Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips, declined to give her a title – and equestrian-loving Zara said she felt “lucky” the decision was made.
