Wedding Reception of Princess Afzan of Pahang

The Royal Family of Pahang completed the Wedding Celebrations of Tengku Puteri (Princess) Afzan Aminah Hafidzatullah, daughter of the Sultan of Pahang and Tengku Ampuan (Queen) Azizah, and Fateh Idzham bin Fateh Iskandar, with two Wedding Receptions in Kuala Lumpur last weekend, following the Akad Nikah Ceremony, the Istiadat Berinai Ceremony, and the ‘Istiadat Bersanding’ at the Istana Abdulaziz in Kuantan.

Following the Akad Nikah Ceremony, the Istiadat Berinai Ceremony, and the ‘Istiadat Bersanding’ at the Istana Abdulaziz in Kuantan, Tengku Puteri Afzan Aminah Hafidzatullah, daughter of the Sultan of Pahang and Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah of Johor, and Fateh Idzham bin Fateh Iskandar had a Majlis Resepsi Perkahwinan Ceremony at a Hotel in Kuala Lumpur

The event started at 8.45 pm with the arrival of the KDPB Sultan of Pahang and the famous guests entered the dining hall before the Royal couple stepped into the same hall before sitting on the altar for the ceremony.

The bride and groom then cut the wedding cake before the dinner ceremony which began watching a display of memorable pictures from YAM Tengku Puteri Afzan and FD Idzham’s childhood.

The Royal Family of Pahang were joined by the Sultan, Tengku Permaisuri, and Crown Prince of Selangor as well as the Crown Prince and Crown Princess of Perlis.

Princess Afzan wore a new Diamond Tiara and Queen Azizah’s modern Diamond Fringe Necklace.

The following evening, Tengku Puteri Afzan Aminah Hafidzatullah and Fateh Idzham bin Fateh Iskandar had another Majlis Resepsi Perkahwinan Ceremony at the Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

The event started at 8.45pm with the arrival of KDPB Sultan Pahang and distinguished guests entered the dining hall before the equally beautiful Royal couple wearing matching white dresses walked into the same hall before sitting on the dais.

The next event is the blessing greetings of both the father and mother of the bride and groom before the ceremony before the dining ceremony which begins with the screening of pictures of the Royal Wedding Ceremony that took place last week.

Still maintaining the same arrangement as the ceremony that took place yesterday, the atmosphere remained beautiful captivating every guest present.

The bride and groom then cut the wedding cake before the guests were thanked by the groom’s family for their willingness to attend. The reception was graced with a performance by a famous artist from the country, Datuk Sheila Majid.

The Royal Family of Pahang celebrated the three-day Wedding of Tengku Puteri (Princess) Afzan Aminah Hafidzatullah, daughter of the Sultan of Pahang and Tengku Ampuan (Queen) Azizah, and Fateh Idzham bin Fateh Iskandar, at the Istana Abdulaziz in Kuantan.

Tengku Puteri Afzan Aminah Hafidzatullah, daughter of the Sultan of Pahang and Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah of Johor, married Fateh Idzham bin Fateh Iskandar, in a akad nikah Ceremony at the Istana Abdulaziz in Kuantan.

The akad nikah Ceremony was followed by a  Istiadat Perkahwinan Diraja Ceremony. The powdering ceremony is when the couple’s families bless them by putting coloured rice powder and scented oils on their hands.

Princess Afzan wore a Diamond Tiara belonging to Queen Azizah, as well as several Emerald and Diamond Necklaces and a couple of brooches.

The istiadat bersanding will be held on August 23rd, while the istiadat bersanding will be on the 25th.

Following the Akad Nikah Ceremony at the Istana Abdulaziz, Tengku Puteri Afzan Aminah Hafidzatullah, daughter of the Sultan of Pahang and Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah of Johor, and Fateh Idzham bin Fateh Iskandar had an Istiadat Berinai (Henna Ceremony) Ceremony in the Throne Hall of the Istana Abdulaziz in Kuantan.

Second night of the Royal Wedding Ceremony of YAM Tengku Princess Raja Tengku Princess Afzan Aminah Hafidzatullah binti Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and FD Idzham FD Iskandar witnessed the Henna Ceremony at Balai Temenggong, Abdulaziz Palace, Kuantan.

The next henna ceremony starts at 8.30 pm as soon as the groom, FD Idzham FD Iskandar walks into Balai Temenggong.

More special, the entourage of YAM Tengku Princess Raja Tengku Princess Afzan Aminah Hafidzatullah to the hall to witness the Henna Ceremony lighting candles in parallel with the wishes of His Majesty Mother, Tengku Ampuan Pahang to restore and maintain the royal marriage.

Afterwards, the Pahang Royal Family, as well as Sultanah Nur Zahirah and Princess Fatimatuz Zahra of Terengganu, joined the bridal couple and the other guests for a magnificent Dinner.

Princess Afzan wore a Diamond Tiara, as well as a Diamond Necklace and a Sapphire and Diamond Necklaces belonging to Queen Azizah.


Following the Akad Nikah Ceremony at the Istana Abdulaziz and the  Istiadat Berinai Ceremony, Tengku Puteri Afzan Aminah Hafidzatullah, daughter of the Sultan of Pahang and Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah of Johor, and Fateh Idzham bin Fateh Iskandar had an ‘Istiadat Bersanding’ (Sitting-in-State) Ceremony in the Throne Hall of the Istana Abdulaziz in Kuantan.

The ‘Istiadat Bersanding’ (Sitting-in-State) Ceremony was grandly held to celebrate the wedding of Tengku Puteri Raja, Tengku Puteri Afzan Aminah Hafidzatullah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and her partner, Fd Idzham Fd Iskandar. Decked out in her all-white wedding attire complete with a long veil and tiara, Tengku Puteri Afzan was the first to step into the Balai Mahkota, Istana Abdulaziz here at 8.35pm.

Fd Idzham’s motorcade arrived at the palace compound accompanied by the beat of the kompang before he was ushered into Balai Mahkota some five minutes later. He held the ‘sireh lat-lat’, prepared by the bride’s side that signifies that she is ready for the ceremony.

The ceremonies began with the ‘menyuap nasi semangat’ by Tengku Puteri Seri Lela Wangsa Pahang, Tengku Tan Sri Meriam Sultan Ahmad Shah. She placed ‘pulut kuning’ (turmeric-infused glutinous rice) on the palm of the bride and groom before they fed each other.

This was followed by the ‘merenjis’ on the newlyweds, led by the Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah who was smartly clad in royal blue baju melayu followed by Tengku Ampuan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.

The sitting-in-state ceremony ended with Al-Sultan Abdullah and Tengku Ampuan Pahang performing the customary ceremony of placing the ‘pancabicara’ on the groom and bride as a symbol to bless the marriage.

The newly-wed couple, along with the royal family members, took pictures in the Balai Inderapura before the cake-cutting ceremony which was accompanied by fireworks.

The Pahang Royal Family, led by the Sultan of Pahang and Tengku Ampuan (Queen) Azizah (wearing her Modern Diamond Fringe Necklace), were joined by Sultanah Nur Zahirah and Princess Fatimatuz Zahra of Terengganu as well as Princess Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah of Johor and Dato Dennis Muhammad Abdullah.

Princess Afzan wore Queen Azizah’s Aquamarine Tiara, as well as her Johor-inspired Diamond Necklace.
