Friends and Relatives celebrated the Wedding of Princess Charlotte of Nassau and Mansour Shakarchi at the Church of Santa Maria dello Spasimo in Palermo on May 24th, followed by a Reception at the Villa Tasca in Palermo.
Princess Charlotte of Nassau, the daughter of Prince Robert of Luxembourg, married Mansour Shakarchi at the Church of Santa Maria dello Spasimo in Palermo. The couple had gotten married in a Civil Wedding Ceremony in Gstaad in January ahead of the death of her terminally-ill brother, Prince Frederik, in March.
After the Ceremony, the Wedding Reception was held at the Villa Tasca in Palermo, which belongs to Count Giuseppe Tasca d’Almerita.
After the ceremony, the bride and groom held their reception at Villa Tasca, a sumptuous palace that served as the setting for season 2 of the famous series The White Lotus . A fresco from the palazzo is also used as a background image for the opening credits. The palace, surrounded by a garden mentioned in Maupassant’s La vie errante , belongs to the Tasca family. Count Giuseppe Tasca d’Almerita, the current owner, belongs to a prominent winemaking family that also had great political influence in Palermo.
Princess Charlotte wore the spectacular Diamond Flower Tiara of her grandmother, Princess Joan of Luxembourg, the Dowager Duchess of Mouchy.

Histoires Royales
The striking Diamond Floral Tiara is of unknown provenance but it likely originates from the Dillon Family since it does not appear to be a Grand Ducal Heirloom.
Princess Joan of Luxembourg notably wore the Diamond Floral Tiara in an Official Portrait with Prince Charles soon after her marriage in 1967.
The Diamond Floral Tiara was also notably worn by Princess Joan for the State Banquet during the Dutch State Visit to Luxembourg in 1972.
More recently, the Diamond Floral Tiara was worn by Princess Joan’s only daughter, Princess Charlotte of Luxembourg, for her Wedding to Marc Victor Cunningham in 1993. With Princess Joan’s grandchildren reaching marriageable age, lets hope the Tiara is worn again soon, hopefully by her granddaughter, Princess Charlotte of Nassau, who got engaged last year!
The Diamond Flower Tiara was worn by Princess Charlotte of Nassau for her Wedding to Mansour Shakarchi at the Church of Santa Maria dello Spasimo in Palermo in 2025.
