Royal Guests and Relatives from around Europe joined the Württemberg Royal Family to celebrate the Wedding of Duchess Mathilde of Württemberg and Hereditary Count Erich of Waldburg zu Zeil and Trauchburg at Schloss Altshausen on thus day in 1988, 35 years ago.
Duchess Mathilde of Württemberg, daughter of the Duke of Württemberg and Princess Diane of Orléans, married Hereditary Count Erich of Waldburg zu Zeil and Trauchburg, son of the Prince von Waldburg zu Zeil und Trauchburg and Princess Marie Gabrielle of Bavaria, in the Chapel of Schloss Altshausen on this day in 2003. The couple have five daughters and became the Prince and Princess of Waldburg zu Zeil and Trauchburg in 2015.
The Duke and Duchess of Württemberg (wearing the Sapphire Tiara) hosted a spectacular Ball for Duchess Mathilde (in the Württemberg Bridal Diadem) and Hereditary Count Erich at Schloss Altshausen.
Royal Guests and Relatives included the Countess of Paris (grandmother, wearing Empress Josephine’s Diamond Diadem), Prince and Princess Michael of Greece (in her Diamond Floral Tiara and Van Cleef and Arpels Parure), Princess Anne, Duchess of Calabria, Princess Hélène, Countess de Limburg Stirum, Princess Claude of Orléans, and Princess Chantal, Baroness Sambucy de Sorgue among others.
