The Belgian Royal Family hosted their annual Christmas concert this week and Princess Elisabeth and Princess Eleonore made their sartorial mark at the palace.
Each holiday season, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde host a Christmas concert at the Royal Palace in Brussels. The concert is held the week before Christmas and is broadcast on Christmas Day.
This year, Princess Elisabeth, the Duchess of Brabant, and Princess Eleonore joined their parents.
Queen Mathilde wore a bold couture dress from Belgian designer Natan. The scarlet dress features strong pleats from the waist, a high collar and elbow-length sleeves.
Princess Elisabeth, back from the United States where she is studying at Harvard University, wore a velvet gown in burgundy, also from Natan. The elegant draped gown features a deep v in the back, a bold choice for the young princess.
Notably, the heir to the Belgian throne wore a beloved piece of jewellery, Queen Fabiola’s diamond and ruby bracelet. The bracelet has two rows of round diamonds with a row of rectangular rubies in between.
Princess Eleonore wore a bright silver metallic knit gown by Lauren Ralph Lauren. The 16 year old princess cut a fashionable silhouette with the classic gathered pleats at the waist and a rhinestone pin at the waist.
Although the princesses are both young, they are certainly finding their own sense of style as royals.
