Kensington Palace released two new photos of Prince Louis for his fifth birthday on 23 April.
The images were taken by Millie Pilkington earlier this month in Windsor in the garden of Adelaide Cottage.
In one image, the smiling Prince is seen being pushed in a wheel barrel by his mother, the Princess of Wales, while he smiles brightly at the camera. The other photo is a close-up of Prince Louis.
The Prince and Princess of Wales wrote on Twitter and Instagram with the release of the photographs, “Someone’s turning 5 tomorrow…A very happy birthday to Prince Louis,” with the cake and celebration emojis.
Their Instagram post has gained almost half a million likes in just a few hours of posting the images, with hundreds of people wishing the young royal well on his birthday.
Prince Louis Arthur Charles was born on 23 April 2018 at the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in London. He’s the second son and third child of the Prince and Princess of Wales, who were the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge when he was born.
He was born during the reign of his great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, who died in September 2022. Louis is now fourth in the line of succession behind his father, Prince William, and older siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
He attends the independent Lambrook school in Berkshire alongside his siblings.
