The Prince and Princess of Wales will attend this year’s Royal Variety Show – with some special guests of their own.

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden will also be at the gala event at the Royal Albert Hall.

The performance, one of the high points of the showbusiness year, takes place on November 30th 2023, during the official visit that the Swedish heir and her husband are making to the UK.

The royal party have a star studded line up to enjoy during the show. Cher is among the headline acts at the event where the line up also includes Rick Astley, Paloma Faith and McFly.

More traditional music will come from the Welsh Guards Band while Hannah Waddingham and the Eno Chorus also feature. There will also be a special tribute to musical empresario, Bill Kenwright, who died earlier this year.

Bradley Walsh will host the event.

The Royal Variety Show is held every year to raise money for the Royal Variety Charity which looks after entertainers and performers who need support through illness or as they get older.

It began in 1912 as the Royal Command Performance when the special guests were King George V and Queen Mary, the great, great grandparents of Prince WIlliam.

Members of the Royal Family take it in turns to attend the annual performance.

The Royal Variety Show has been sold out since April but those without tickets will still get to enjoy the line up as it will be broadcast on ITV1 in the UK at a later date.
