Meghan Markle is reportedly busily preparing for a “big comeback”, according to a royal expert.

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, stepped back from the spotlight after she and Prince Harry decided to step down as senior roles in 2020, and relocated to the US.

The couple, who are parents to Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two, signed lucrative deals with Netflix and Spotify, but they have since fizzled out. It has since been suggested Meghan is about to re-enter public life in a big way in an effort to rejuvenate the couple’s faltering image.

Royal biographer Emily Andrews revealed that there are three big signs Meghan is preparing her “comeback”, and pointed to her recent appearances over the last few months.

The mother-of-two has been spotted out and about in Los Angeles, and was even pictured smiling and laughing as she enjoyed a girly day out with a close pal as they shopped in Santa Barbara.

Other appearances included the Invictus Games, where she was seen proudly supporting husband Harry as he hosted the event for military veterans.

“It was no accident that over the summer, we saw rather more of Meghan than for all of the past year,” Emily told Woman magazine.

She noted that Meghan’s willingness to be photographed by paparazzi shows that she’s ready to face public life once again as she’s aware of her “commercial value”.

Another sign is Meghan’s effort to pursue business interests, and is rumoured to be working hard with Hollywood agency WME to “relaunch” her career.

“She has decided she wants to live her life much more openly,” Emily explained.

She also revealed WME plan to work with Meghan on a “new money-making venture” that could maximise the former Suits star’s potential.

The final hint at her big comeback is rumours she’s in touch with “big name directors and producers” in Hollywood, after receiving a flurry of offers from signing with WME in April last year.

Meghan and Harry’s Netflix deal is due to expire next year, and with no further projects announced from the couple’s Archewell Productions firm, the Sussexes are reportedly keen to look elsewhere to keep their Hollywood dream alive.

It has also been reported that Suits creator Aaron Korsh has a script for a new show focused on a Hollywood law firm, and the leading role – a career-focused woman in her 30s working with a star-studded clientele – is perfect for the Duchess of Sussex.

The as-yet unnamed project will be produced by NBC Universal, and the studio’s executive Beatrice Springborn insisted it would have “the same energy and good-looking people” that Suits was famous for.
