The Prince and Princess of Wales hosted the latest garden party at Buckingham Palace and they brought the sparkle with them while they did it.

Prince William took charge of the sunny spectacular, leading a large number of royals into the grounds of the Palace to meet thousands of people being recognised for their work across the community.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh stood with William and Catherine for the national anthem but a host of royal cousins were waiting to join them at the garden spectacular.

Princess Eugenie was invited and chose a pair of seriously impressive earrings for the day. The princess went for a classic look for the day with a navy polka dot dress from Rixo London and wide-brimmed navy hat. It was her earrings that stole the show, though. 

From favourite royal jewellery firm Garrard, the Lotus Flower Drop Earrings feature ombré sapphires and diamonds castle-set in 18 carat white gold for weightless look. The earrings come with a royal price-tag, though- they are currently £16,250. 

Eugenie was not the only princess to bring the sparkle to the party. 

The Princess of Wales wore a very special pair of earrings to the garden party – the stunning jewels her parents gave her for her wedding.

Ahead of the ceremony at Westminster Abbey in April 2011, Carole and Michael Middleton commissioned the earrings from British jeweller Robinson Pelham. They feature a diamond-set oak leaf as the stud, a pear-shaped diamond-set drop, with a diamond acorn suspended from the drop. 

The Princess of Wales also repeated her dress- she chose a butter yellow dress from Emilia Wickstead that she wore in 2022 for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving.
