The Prince of Wales focuses on food waste as he returns to public engagements – Royal Central

The Prince of Wales has put the spotlight on food waste as he began public engagements for the first time since the Princess of Wales announced she is being treated for cancer.

Prince William headed to Surplus to Supper in Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey to see how they make sure food and goods that shops and wholesalers would otherwise throw away is put to good use.

The Prince spent time meeting volunteers and working in the kitchens as he was told how food is redistributed to charities, foodbanks and schools through the organisation.

He then joined a delivery team in their van to make drops in the local area.

He told his colleagues for the day that he had found his experience ‘inspiring’.

During his visit, the Prince was also handed get well cards for his wife and his father, King Charles III, as they continue their treatments for cancer and he promised to keep on looking after Catherine.
