The move from King Charles that Prince William says left him surprised

Prince William has revealed that one recent high profile move from his father, King Charles, has left him rather surprised.

In March, The King released his own Apple Music Playlist to mark Commonwealth Day and his heir says that the royal picks weren’t what he expected.

Charles III gave his royal approval to Kylie Minogue’s The Locomotion, Love Me Again by RAYE and Crazy in Love by Beyonce.

However, the Prince of Wales said he thought the Monarch’s choices would be rather different.

Speaking at an event for Mentivity, which offers support to young people in south London through clubs, activities and mentorship, William revealed ‘I was expecting a lot of classical music, so I was surprised.”

The musical transformation doesn’t seem to be totally complete. William was asked by Adeyemi Michael, Mentivity director, if Charles III might have chosen some garage music. The heir to the throne replied ”I’m not sure he’d know what that was.”

The future king also said that he enjoyed streaming music as it helped him to unwind.

It was a fun filled visit for Prince William who also sat down with some of the young people involved in the centre to play video games. He took a turn at Mario Kart and EA FC 25 and showed some clear skills at gaming.

The focus of the visit was to see how the Mentivity Centre, in Southwark, was to see how it uses outreach and activities to help young people and to look to expanding such clubs to other areas.

Prince William talked extensively to leaders and to the young people about the benefits and how similar services could work elsewhere.

He left the club in bright spring sunshine and to find a crowd waiting for him, all eager for selfies with the Prince who happily obliged with some keen wellwishers sprinting across some grass to grab a photo with the future king.

Then it was back to the Palace for the Prince of Wales – perhaps to talk tracks with The King.
