The King and Queen to attend Easter Day service at Windsor – Royal Central

The King will join other members of the Royal Family for the Easter morning service at Windsor.

His Majesty has contained himself to private engagements since the start of February as he undergoes treatment for cancer.

Buckingham Palace has just announced that The King and Queen will lead the Royal Family as they celebrate Easter at St. George’s Chapel.

It is understood the congregation will be limited as His Majesty’s medical team consider the risk of infection as cancer treatment is ongoing.

The Prince and Princess of Wales won’t be present as Catherine continues her cancer treatment. The couple will mark Easter privately with their children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8 and 5 year old Prince Louis.

Other members of the Royal Family will join Their Majesties at Windsor for the Easter service.

King Charles has carried out a number of engagements behind palace doors since beginning his treatment and has continued with all his constitutional duties.

Queen Camilla has revealed that her husband is doing well while his nephew, Peter Phillips, recently said that His Majesty is very keen to get back to his full diary of engagements as soon as possible.
