Buckingham Palace has shared details on King Charles and Queen Camilla’s Royal Visit Australia, as well as a State Visit to The Independent State of Samoa, and their attendance at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 2024.

In his first visit as Monarch to a Realm, King Charles has a busy schedule in Australia. The overall theme of the trip is to showcase and celebrate the best of Australia, and the royal couple will be carrying several important engagements, including visiting Parliament and meeting with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

The King will be meeting researchers to learn about their work on melanoma, one of the most common cancers in Australia, while The Queen will be meeting children who are taking part in the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition.

Throughout their time in Australia, they will also be meeting Aboriginal communities to learn more about their culture and work.

King Charles and Queen Camilla will then visit Samoa, the host country of CHOGM 2024.

The theme of CHOGM 2024 is “A Resilient Environment”, a very important topic to His Majesty. While in Samoa, he will open a new area of the Samoa Botanical Garden to be called “The King’s Garden”.

Another important CHOGM theme is Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment, and Her Majesty will be attending a forum that will discuss eliminating violence against women across the Commonwealth and improving women’s healthcare.
