The main residence of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima is now ready for the festive season.
Huis ten Bosch Palace is now home to a huge Christmas tree that’s been decked with lights, ready for the holidays.
The nine metre tall tree was put up on the forecourt of the Palace just in time for the first Sunday of Advent, December 3rd 2023.
It’s decorated with over 400 lights. And in a video shared on the official Dutch royal social media, there were some tips for tree enthusiasts everywhere. The lights were draped in vertical lines rather than being wound horizontally around the tree, ensuring an even spread of sparkle.
The tree is up in time for the Feast of St. Nicholas on December 6th, when many Christmas gifts will be exchanged in the Netherlands.
