FANS of The Crown have been left livid after a sneak peak at the storyline for the finale.

The popular Netflix show about the life of Queen Elizabeth II and her family is coming to an end after six seasons.

And the streaming giant took to social media to share a photo hinting at what the final series will be about.

The picture is of a wedding program on a pew which reads: “Service of prayer and dedication following the marriage of His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall.

“Sunday 9 April 2005 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.”

Netflix posted the photo on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying: “After six seasons, seven years and three casts,
@TheCrownNetflix comes to an end later this year.

“We’ll be back with more soon, but here’s a hint at what’s to come in our final season.”

Viewers have slammed the decision to have King Charles and Camilla’s wedding as the focus of the finale.

One person hit out: “UGH! Must we see the marriage of Charles & Camilla?”

Another added: “Thanks I’ll remember not to watch that episode.”

An unhappy fan agreed: “May have to pass on that episode. What a joke those two have made of Diana.”

Many other people who watch the show commented showing their support for Princess Diana, who was King Charles’ first wife.
