Royal Guests at the Wedding of Princess Alexandra of Kent

Eight Queens and Two Kings were among the Royal Guests and Relatives at the Wedding of Princess Alexandra of Kent and the Hon. Angus Ogilvy at Westminster Abbey on this day in 1963, 60 years ago. 

The British Royal Family and the Royal Guests were led by Queen Elizabeth II (cousin), the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, and the Queen Mother. Princess Anne was one of the bridesmaids, while Princess Marina the Duke and Duchess of Kent and Prince Michael had leading roles.

The Reigning Kings and Queens, all relatives of the bride, behind the British Royal Family were King Olav V of Norway (cousin), Queen Frederica of Greece, Queen Louise of Sweden, Queen Ingrid of Denmark, and the soon-to-be Queen Anne-Marie of Greece. 

Former Royal Guests and Relatives were led by Queen Victoria Eugenie of Spain (cousin) and Queen Helen of Romania  (cousin), as well King Umberto II of Italy.

Other Royals included Crown Prince Constantine of Greece, Crown Prince Harald of Norway, Prince Juan Carlos and Princess Sofia of Spain, Prince Paul and Princess Olga of Yugoslavia (aunt), Archduchess Helene of Austria (cousin), Princess Irene, Duchess of Aosta, the Margrave and Princess Theodora, Margravine of Baden, the Prince and Princess of Hesse, the Princess of Hohenlohe-Langenburg, Princess Sophie of Greece and Prince George William of Hanover, Princess Irene and Princess Margriet of the Netherlands, and Princess Irene of Greece. 

Members of the extended British Royal Family in attendance included Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon, Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester (uncle), the Duchess of Gloucester, Prince William, and Prince Richard, Mary, Princess Royal and Countess of Harewood, Princess Alice, Countess of Athlone, and Lord Mountbatten.
