Royal Guests and Relatives from around the world attended the spectacular Wedding Ball of King Constantine II of Greece and Princess Anne Marie of Denmark at the Royal Palace of Athens in this day in 1964, 60 years ago, on the eve of their Wedding.
Eight Kings and Eleven Queens led the Royal Guests and Relatives from around the world at the Wedding Ball of King Constantine II of Greece and Princess Anne Marie of Denmark at the Royal Palace of Athens, with the Guests processing down the iconic stairs of the Royal Palace of Athens. The Ball was the culmination of weeks of festivities in Copenhagen and Athens which included a Gala in Copenhagen, a Farewell Dinner at Fredensborg Palace, and a Dinner in Athens.
Princess Anne Marie of Denmark wore the Greek Emerald Parure, with the Order of the Redeemer, and the Order of Saints Olga and Sophia with the Commemorative Badge of the Centenary of the Royal House of Greece while King Constantine II of Greece wore the Order of the Redeemer, Order of Dannebrog, Order of Saints George and Constantine, and the Commemorative Badge of the Centenary of the Royal House of Greece
Queen Frederica of Greece (wearing Queen Sophie’s Diamond Tiara, Pearl and Diamond Necklace, and Cartier Sapphire Pendant) joined King Constantine and Princess Anne-Marie.
The King and Princess were followed by King Frederik IX (in the Order of the Redeemer and Order of the Elephant) and Queen Ingrid of Denmark (wearing the Danish Ruby Parure) with Queen Sirikit of Thailand (wearing her Diamond Tiara).
