The Kings and Queens of Britain, Norway, Denmark, The Netherlands, Greece, and Belgium led the Royal Guests at the Funeral of Sir Winston Churchill at St Paul’s Cathedral in London on this day in 1965, 60 years ago.
The Funeral Service of Sir Winston Churchill at St Paul’s Cathedral followed a Procession through London, in which the coffin, bourne on a gun carriage pulled by a detachment from the Royal Navy, was escorted by officers of the Royal Air Force up Whitehall and past the Cenotaph heading towards Trafalgar Square and then St Paul’s, ahead of the burial at St Martin’s Church in Bladon.
