Royal Family LIVE: Prince Harry warned ‘no one is fooled’ over plans for next UK visit | Royal | News

Prince Harry has been warned that “no one is fooled” over plans for his next UK visit, a royal expert has claimed.

The Duke of Sussex is set to come to the UK next month to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games in the place where it all began – London.

Whether he will come with his wife and their two children remains on a lot of minds, but some royal fans are questioning whether the estranged duke could pull out of the visit altogether – or, at least, make it another flying visit.

Speaking to the Mirror, royal author Tom Quinn warned Harry that “no one is going to be fooled” by excuses such as “he doesn’t have time to see his brother nor father” or that he has to “get back to the States quickly to be with his children”.

Mr Quinn told the publication: “Barring a major upset, Harry will certainly return to the UK for the Invictus games in May – it’s his baby.

“If he decides not to come, it will take some explaining, because everyone will assume it’s because he doesn’t want the awkwardness of having to meet his brother or having to choose not to meet him.”

The expert continued: “Not coming would be worse than finding some sort of compromise where Harry sees William for 10 minutes or comes up with some reason why he doesn’t have time to see his brother and his father and has to get back to the States quickly to be with his children. But no one is going to be fooled by these excuses.”

Meghan has also been tipped to come to the UK with her husband, although this remains in doubt after the Duchess of Sussex reportedly rejected a recent olive branch from the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Mr Quinn added that Kate and William extended an invite to the Sussexes to bring Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two, to the UK “so they can spend time together”. Meghan, however, reportedly “put her foot down”.
