Meghan Markle’s new lifestyle show has received heavy criticism from major news outlets, including Variety Magazine, who called it “so unloveable”, but a PR strategist claims her plan is not to build credibility, but curiosity in what she is doing. Explaining his reasoning in HELLO! Magazine, Mark Borkowski, said: “This isn’t an identity crisis, it’s a business model. The perpetual reinvention, the strategy vagueness – it’s all by design.”
‘With Love, Meghan’ season one aired in eight parts on Netflix, and showcased Meghan cooking and hosting for a variety of her celebrity friends including Hollywood’s Mindy Kaling. Mark added: “The more unpredictable she is, the harder it is to take her down. She’s not trying to be Goop; she’s trying to be a mystery. The product she’s selling? Endless curiosity about Meghan Markle. Maybe she’s not losing control of her narrative, maybe we are.”
Netflix revealed the show has already been renewed for a second season. But it was further confirmed that episodes for the follow-up series have already been filmed, and will be available to watch later this year. Netflix announced the news via its TuDum website, saying, “Don’t put away your flower sprinkles just yet — With Love, Meghan will be back for Season 2.”
Meghan also dropped the recent news she would be releasing a new podcast next month, entitled ‘Confessions Of A Female Founder’. The show has been made by US podcast company Lemonada Media.
