Meghan Markle has been accused of making it “The Meghan Show” once again, as she joined Prince Harry at the latest Invictus Games in Canada last week.
Although her appearance was short, with the 43-year-old making the decision to travel home to their children five days before the closing ceremony, former home office minister Norman Baker claims the Duchess of Sussex “muscled in” during her husband’s sporting event for wounded servicemen.
Speaking of their joint appearance at the opening ceremony, which took place on February 8 at the BC Place in Vancouver, Mr Baker claims that as Meghan squealed in delight that it “looked kind of like the Meghan show”.
He added: “Looks like she was trying to muscle in and make us or a PR event for herself rather than about the athletes. She was there making sure she was set to stage more than Harry was, as a matter of fact.”
Comparing the former actress to Yoko Ono – who has previously been accused of being the person to break up the Beatles – he added: “You have to say this a bit like John and Yoko, really, in terms of who’s running things. It’s quite a curious relationship.
“I have to say she looks in her element in Hollywood and over there, but whether Harry is another matter. He wasn’t centrestage, she was.”
