Heart-warming pictures and kind words have been posted by many members of the Firm.

An image shared to Kate and William’s Twitter shows the proud great-grandma with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Also included in the pic is Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor, James, Earl of Wessex, Lena Tindall, Isla Phillips, Mia Tindall, Lucas Tindall and Savannah Phillips.

Sadly Harry and Meghan’s kids, Archie, 3, and Lilbet, 1, are not in the snap.

The photo was captured during a family trip to Balmoral last summer.

The Royal Family said today is about remembering her “life and legacy”.

They tweeted: “Today we remember the incredible life and legacy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, on what would have been her 97th birthday.”

Sarah Ferguson, 63, paid a touching tribute to her former mother-in-law saying she misses her “more than words”.

She said: “Today would have been Her Late Majesty the Queen’s 97th birthday and I will spend the day thinking of her.

“For over 70 years she was a constant, steadfast presence in our national life.

“For me, she was a wonderful mother-in-law, friend and adviser. I miss her more than words.”
