Soon after celebrating her 50th Birthday in February 2022, the then Crown Princess Mary acquired a ‘pair of Belle Epoque Diamond Ear Pendants each set with Numerous Old Cut Diamonds’ on Auction at Bruun Rasmussen in March 2022, which followed the acquisition of her Diamond Necklace Tiara, Diamond Fringe Earrings, and Diamond Flower Earrings.
Crown Princess Mary debuted her new ‘Belle Epoque’ Diamond Earrings paired with the Midnight Tiara at Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway’s 18th Birthday Banquet at the Royal Palace of Oslo in June 2022.
A few weeks later, Crown Princess Mary wore the Diamond Earrings for Queen Margrethe’s Golden Jubilee Service and a Luncheon as well as a Tea at Clarence House.
Last year, the ‘Belle Epoque’ Diamond Earrings were worn by Crown Princess Mary for the Coronation Reception at Buckingham Palace as well as for the Christening of Prince Gustav Albrecht zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and King Carl XVI Gustaf’s Golden Jubilee Service.
Crown Princess Mary paired the Diamond Earrings with the Connaught Sapphire Brooch for an appearance on the Balcony of Amalienborg Palace to celebrate Prince Christian of Denmark’s 18th Birthday.
A few weeks later, Crown Princess Mary wore the ‘Belle Epoque’ Diamond Earrings with her Diamond Necklace Tiara for the State Banquet at Christiansborg Palace during the Spanish State Visit to Denmark.
More recently, the new Queen Mary wore the Diamond Earrings with her Diamond Flower Brooch for a Proclamation Service at Aarhus Cathedral, a week after the Abdication of Queen Margrethe II and the Proclamation of King Frederik X. There is no doubt we will contuse to see these splendid jewels for years to come!
