Queen Elizabeth’s beloved niece in the royal procession at Ascot

The Royal Family always turns up in full force for Royal Ascot as it remains one of the major events on the Royal Calendar for the year. A special family member with a strong connection to the late Queen joined the family on Thursday at Royal Ascot for Ladies’ Day.

Lady Sarah Chatto, the daughter of Princess Elizabeth and Lord Snowdon, joined the family on Thursday. She and husband Daniel Chatto joined The Princess Royal and Sir Tim Lawrence in a carriage for the royal procession.

Queen Elizabeth was incredibly close with her sister, Princess Margaret, as well as her children. Elizabeth and Sarah were said to enjoy a close relationship with aunt and niece often seeking one another out at family events.

Lady Sarah and Lord Snowdon were not the only members of the Royal Family to attend Royal Ascot on Thursday. Zara Tindall, The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and The Princess Royal joined King Charles and Queen Camilla for the third day of racing.
